Syang Yang Su, PhD

Syang Su is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MegaCare Inc., a company specialized in the formulation, manufacture, and distribution of the highest quality dietary supplements. Prior to his appointment as CEO in 1995, he was Vice President at Stason Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he assembled and led the company's first ANDA team, responsible for the FDA ANDA approval of Captopril.

Born and raised in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Syang Su received his BS in Chemistry at National Chung-Hsing University, Taiwan in 1974, his MS in Chemistry at the University of Washington, Seattle in 1979, and his PhD in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Florida in 1982.

He joined the chemistry faculty of Virginia Commonwealth University in 1982 as Assistant Professor, mentoring three PhD and two MS students. In 1988, Syang Su joined the FDA as a Senior Research Fellow in the Biopharmaceutics Research Branch, and soon after became the Section Chief in the Antimicrobial Branch. In 1992, Syang Su joined IVAX Corp. as the Director of Analytical Labs, managing over 35 chemists in analytical research, stability, and quality control.

Throughout his career, Syang Su has been recognized for his leadership in the pharmaceutical industry/FDA interface and in the formulation and manufacture of dietary supplements. He has authored over 20 publications in the field of analytical chemistry.
