About 6 years ago, I started developing gout in my feet, with swelling and pain in the big toe and heel. I would take ibuprofen, but the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) would only help reduce the pain temporarily. Every few days, the swelling and pain would heal for one side, and then rotate to the other. It was then that I formulated MegaCare's DeGout supplement, featuring a cast of herbs possessing anti-inflammatory properties. After a few weeks of taking DeGout 5 capsules a day, my gout condition went away.
In the summer of 2008, gout returned to my feet and legs, but with greater pain and intensity. Gout would develop in my big toe and heel, but also move up to the knee. Gout would rotate from one leg to the other, but for a period of 1 week, gout affected both feet and legs. For 1 week, I could not get out of bed, much less walk. Gout in both feet and legs eventually subsided after many months, but not until I understood the meaning of body alkalinity, leading to a new and improved gout formulation: DePurine.

Late in 2008, I began to wonder why a few weeks of DeGout worked in 2003, but not as well the second time around. After much research, I came to the belief that body alkalinity was at the heart of the matter.
Gout is a disease of recurrent attacks of acute inflammatory arthritis, caused by elevated levels of uric acid in the blood that crystallizes and deposits primarily in the joints and surrounding tissue. The concept of body pH balance was developed by William Howard Hay, MD in his classic text, A New Health Era. In this book, he suggests that all disease is caused by autotoxication due to acid accumulation in the body:
"Now we depart from health in just the proportion to which we have allowed our alkalines to be dissipated by introduction of acid-forming food in too great amount... It may seem strange to say that all disease is the same thing, no matter what its myriad modes of expression, but it is verily so."
Alkaline by Design, Acidic by Function. Metabolic processes in our body create acid as a by-product, but the fluids (most notably the blood) and tissues must maintain alkalinity for optimal health. pH imbalance is typically the result of (a) a diet dominated by purine rich foods (such as red meat and alcoholic beverages) and (b) depressed spirit (anger, stress, fear).

In late 2008, I revisited DeGout and improved the formula by adding elements of MegaCare's Coral Plus formulation to DeGout. When I was pregnant late in 2008, my daytime eye sight was deteriorating. My doctor told me that the pressure from pregnancy was likely responsible for my vision problems and that there were no drugs for my condition. I could do nothing, just stay at home.

Hi, my name is Ela and I work for MegaCare. I've had a problem with dry eye for about 10 years. I wear glasses so it is a double problem. My eyes teared so badly, especially in the morning, that I had to wipe my eyes and glasses continuously with tissues. The right eye was not as bad as the left eye, which kept tearing continuously that it became a terrible hardship. Then one day, I was introduced to Eye Food--I'm completely sold on Eye Food now!!! My name is Ela, I am 62 years old and I work for MegaCare. I am using three products of ours with amazing results in a short time of use. I want to share my experience with others who may have the same health conditions.
I am using Eye Food--my first testimonial is on the Eye Food section.
The second product I used is Joint Lub. I have had lower back pain for many years and was going to chiropractors for years and years. Each time I went it worked for a while. December 18, 2009Back when I was a graduate student in Seattle, WA, I had a skiing accident (falling down on my hip) that developed into severe rheumatism. After seeing a doctor for half a year, I was on prescription pain killers that ultimately did more harm than good. My stomach was bleeding from the meds, and my health was in decline. I could not even walk.
I eventually got a second opinion, and my second doctor recommended that I see an acupuncture doctor. After 3 months with the acupuncturist, my pain was significantly reduced, and I could even walk short distances without pain killers. But my joints still ached from the rheumatism. Acupuncture was not a complete cure.

March 9, 2010I have been to numerous doctors over the last couple of years about my knees. I have had severe swelling and pain on a daily basis to the point that walking becomes a very hard task. All of the doctors pretty much said the same things; arthritis, normal wear and tear, not too much can be done without surgery, injections, etc.

March 9, 2010In 2006, my 39 year old husband suffered a heart attack. As a result of being without oxygen for too long of a period, he went into a persistent vegetative state with severe brain damage.
I didn't want his muscles to waste away and deteriorate, so I did some research on Bovine Cartilage and found that it reduces inflammation and is good for joint function. I certainly did not want his joints to stiffen!
